  • Article 1. (Classification of Papers)
    1. Papers are classified as research papers, letters, brief reports, comments and replies, review papers, tutorial papers and proceedings.
    2. (Research Papers) Research Papers are those including original or pioneering contents on a specific topic. They should have the scientific logic.
    3. (Letters) Letters are papers of a short length with timely and important physical findings, and they are given priority in processing. The Length of a Letter is limited to be not more than 4 printed pages. A short memo describing the Letter's importance should be submitted with the manuscript.
    4. (Brief Reports) Brief Reports are the same as research papers except that the length cannot be more than 4 printed pages.
    5. (Comments and Replies) Comments include opinions on the papers already published. Replies include answers by the author(s) of the paper commented upon.
    6. (Review Papers) Review papers serve to introduce recent findings on important topics. After consulting with the Executive Editor and the Editorial Board members of the related subjects, the Editor-in-Chief can invite professionals to submit Review Paper(s) without refereeing.
    7. (Tutorial papers) Tutorial papers serve to introduce important experimental techniques and specific research topics, basics and applications, and recent research results for young researchers. After consulting with the Executive Editor and the Editorial Board members of the related subjects, the Editor-in-Chief can invite professionals to submit Tutorial Paper(s) without refereeing.
    8. (Proceedings) Proceedings are papers presented at a conference, workshop or symposium. They should have the same level of quality as Research Papers.
    9. (Code of ethics) All the papers submitted should follow the code of ethics established by the New Physics: Sae Mulli (hereafter referred to as NPSM) committee. NPSM checks plagiarism, or copying text or results from other sources by using CrossCheck.
  • Article 2. (Submission of Manuscripts)
    1. All authors are requested to follow the instructions (including ethical statement) of the KPS and publisher.
    2. (General Submission) Manuscripts can be submitted anytime. After completing the author check list form, author(s) should send “author check list”, “copyright transfer form” and “manuscript” to NPSM website (http://www.npsm-kps.org).
    3. (Rapid Submission) The author(s) may take a rapid process when s/he (they) want(s) to publish a manuscript in a shorter time period than usual, by also submitting a short memo describing the reason(s) and by paying a processing fee, which is not refunded in case of rejection of publication.
    4. (Submission for Proceedings) The proceedings of a conference, workshop or symposium may be submitted together to NPSM by the organizing committee who wish to publish them in NPSM as either a regular issue or a supplementary issue. In this case, the organizing committee must send in a written application for the submission, available from the KPS, to the Editor-in-Chief at least two months before the conference, workshop or symposium. The Editor-in-Chief should choose one referee recommended by the organizing committee and one editor from the same research field.
    5. (Authorship) Principal author(the first author and corresponding author) should be the Member(including Student Member) of the KPS or those who have equivalent qualification to membership of the KPS.

(Cover Page) The cover page consists of the title, names, affiliations, and addresses of all author(s) (for corresponding author, add e-mail address, fax number and phone number), paper classification (refer to Article 1), research field, and the names, addresses and e-mail addresses of three potential referees (optional).
    3. (Title Page) The order of title page is as follows: the title, names, affiliations, and addresses of all author(s), abstract, PACS numbers, keywords and email address of a corresponding author. (If a manuscript is written in Korean, additional English abstract is required.) Korean abstract is limited to 500 characters with spaces and English one is limited to 1000 characters with spaces. The abstract and keyword should not contain displayed mathematical equations, footnotes, references, graphics, or tabular material.
    4. (Main Body) The order of sections in the main body is as follows: introduction, main text (Experiment or Theory can be used for section title. Subsections are allowed if needed.), results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment, references, English captions (Korean captions are not acceptable) of tables (and/or figures, photos) and tables(and/or figures, photos). References, tables (and/or figures, photos) and units and symbols should follow Article 5, 6 and 7, respectively.
    5. (Proceedings) The format of the proceedings of a conference, workshop or symposium is the same as that of the regular NPSM issues. The name, date, venue, and the organizing committee of the conference, workshop or symposium may be printed on the cover and/or inside the proceedings if the organizing committee demands.
  • Article 5. (References)
    1. Each reference number should contain only one reference. Only English is allowed. If a reference is not written in English, English translation is required.
    2. (Articles) When articles are referred to, the order is as follows: the names of the author(s), the ISO abbreviation of the journal name, the volume number, the starting page number, and the year of publication (see the examples [1]-[4]). Bold-face is used for the volume number, and the reference number is put in square brackets [ ]. If the number of authors are more than four, “et al.” should be used after the first author names.
    3. (Books) When books are referred to, the reference should include, in the following order, the names of the author(s), the name of the book, the edition number, the publishing company, the place of publication, the year of publication, and the referenced section (see the examples [5]-[6]). Italic font is used for the name of the book, and parenthesis ( ) is used for the publishing company, the place of publication, the year of publication.
    4. (Reports and Thesis) the order for report: the names of the author(s), the name of the report, publication date (see the example [7]). The order for thesis: the name of author, degree of thesis, name of the university, publication date (see the example [8]).
    5. New Physics: Sae Mulli should be referenced as Sae Mulli if the article is published before 2010. If the article is published after 2010, New Phys.: Sae Mulli should be used (see the example [1] and [2]).
