When the tip approaches to the substrate (1) within a few nanometer, the nanoscale water meniscus is suddenly formed between the tip and the substrate (2), which is the key of quantum dot solution ejection. After the liquid ejection, the tip retracts for fabrication of quantum dot-aggregated nanowire (3).
