The blue and red-dashed spectra show similar transmission below 1500 cm-1, indicating a minimal influence of PPO in this region. Above 1500 cm-1, the transmission for the LAB+PPO solution slightly increases, reaching approximately a 1% difference by 3500 cm-1. Note that sharp peaks at 670 and 1650 cm-1 are experimental artifacts, while a significant drop around 2400 cm-1 corresponds to atmospheric CO2 absorption, illustrating a maximal 1% increase in transmission in the mixture compared to LAB alone, with meaningful variations around the major absorption peaks of LAB.
